There once was a snake named Rattlesnake. He didn’t know how to eat. He felt sad. He tried to talk to Mom and Dad but all that came out was “Ag, ag, ah, ah!” His mother and father worried about him. “Oh my, he can’t talk. What can we do Father,” said Mother.

His Mom and Dad had to take him to the doctor. The doctor looked in his throat and said, “Oh my gosh, there’s an apple stuck in his throat. We’ve got to get it out!” The doctor got the apple out and Rattlesnake could talk again. The first thing he said was,”Momma, I’m hungry.”

He went out to eat his prey. It was a rat. He ate it and then went to play with his friends Rat Snake, Python, and Coral Snake. Rattlesnake asked his friends, “Do you all want to go and play?” They all said, “Yes.”
